Dalmatian Jasper known as the "stone of joy," supports grounding, protection and playfulness. When I saw this stone, I instantly knew it would go with the skull bead I had already purchased. The black and white of the bead feels yin/yang to me — balancing the left and right sides of us, masculine and feminine, seen the unseen, form and formlessness. 
 
I envisioned the owner sitting down each time they chanted knowing that when they got back up, they would be liberated from some part of themselves. It reminds me of snake energy, the shedding we do each time we chant, and Scorpio energy, life/death/rebirth. The skull is not meant to be scary, but rather an invitation to let go. 
 
I later discovered that Dalmatian Jasper was used by shamans for protection to shield against negative energy, and it is the mystical stone of October — Scorpio season!
